This summer if I had to choose my most worn item it would be my very favorite Jade Tribe bag that I purchased at a little shop called Delfina in Capri. Throughout the whole summer I took it with me everywhere! Today as I walked through the AMAZING Cabana Trade Show in Miami I was absolutely ecstatic to see my favorite bag from Capri in a million colors and sizes along side designer Kimberly Hartman. I told Kimberly how happy I was to see the bag, and asked her a bit about the story behind Jade Tribe and realized that there is so much more to the adorable bag than you would think.

“I launched my business in 2009. With the idea of mixing fashion with my love of travel and being of service. The basket of the bag is actually all hand woven in one village and the linings that we use are hand woven tribal skirt lining– that I purchase in the markets directly from the tribe women so the money goes directly to them. Finally we accent them with our pom poms that are handmade and everything is stitched inside the basket by hand because you can’t use a sewing machine on baskets.” -Kimberly Hartman
