Thankful Thanksgiving

Something that always comes to my mind when thinking about Thanksgiving is TURKEY and mashed potatoes. But Thanksgiving is more then just food, it’s a day of thanks. A day that we can devote to spending sometime to tell one another just how thankful we are for them.

James 1:17 Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.

Thanksgiving is such a special time to be thankful for all of the blessings that God has gifted us.

God gives each, and everyone of us special “gifts” or “blessings” and it is our  job to be thankful for and use those gifts in a positive way. I believe that Thanksgiving is a cherished time to give thanks to God for your Family, Friends, Pets, Education, Teachers, Health, Job…the list goes on and on. So this Thanksgiving take a look around you and realize what you’re thankful for, there is always something.

So… for the next two weeks until the holiday, challenge yourself to write down what you are thankful for each day. You can write it when you wake up, when you go to sleep, at school or work or, where ever you might be. If you are thankful for a person in your life, at the end of the two weeks share your thanks and love with them. Then when it comes to the big Thanksgiving Day you really realize how much GOD has blessed you each and every day, and you have also shined your light by blessing others with your gratitude and LOVE.

Your heart will be FULL of THANKFULNESS, others will feel LOVED and your belly will be FULL of TURKEY!!!

MUCH LOVE,

Sophie
